Newly appointed Police Chief Mahinda Balasuriya said starting from this week the public could meet him between 11.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. on Fridays.
“From Friday the people can meet me and tell me of their grievances,” the Police Chief told.
He said that between 11.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of every month policemen and officials of any rank could directly meet him.
A new office situated near the entrance to the Police Headquarters at York Street will be opened today by Police Chief Balasuriya where the people could forward their grievances to him.
