A indepth survey will be explored to locate possibility of  oil reserves in the sea bed off the Mannar coastal belt.
Minister of Petroleum Research A.H.M.Fowzie said  accordingly a research vessel belonging to “Cairn” India Pvt.Limited will arrive in Sri Lankan waters on the  December 11.
The survey is to identify the oil reserves located off the Sri Lankan sea bed. The Minister said that the Indian company will submit a detailed report to the government in this connection in due course.
