Northern Province artistes are to perform in Colombo. Addressing the media in Colombo recently Northern Governor, G.A.Chandrasiri said the cultural show will be declared open by  President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He pointed out that it will present nearly four hundred artistes of different talents, who would come together for the first time to participate in an event of that nature. It will take place at the BMICH on January 20.
The cultural show will be a rare event where the performing artistes from the Northern Province and the leading artistes all over the island will be brought together.

The Northern Governor said the media in Sri Lanka has played a significant role in promoting arts and culture and sustaining the cultural heritage that all communities share.
