Veteran Sanath Jayasuriya has been named in the Sri Lanka squad for the Twenty20 World Cup to be played in West Indies next month.

Sources told that the selectors had not picked Jayasuriya and Chinthaka Jayasinghe in their squad but the names have been included in the final list approved by the Sports Minister and issued by Sri Lanka Cricket.

The names of Upul Tharanga and Jeewan Mendis who had reportedly been picked by the selectors are missing from the final list.
